You deserve what?
Humility is the key to the Kingdom of God.
If that’s true, and I believe it is, what did Jesus mean when He warned to “Beware of the scribes, (religious leaders of the day) who desire to go around in long robes, love greetings in the marketplace, the best seats in the synagogues, the best places at feasts, who devour widows’ houses, and for a pretense make long prayers. These will receive greater condemnation.”
And before we point a finger we need to ask ourselves, what do I think I deserve ?

I think I deserve to have the love of my God, friends, family & all my four legged kids with fur. I deserve to be able to question what I don’t understand or have the answer for.
Wow, I will be thinking about this all day now ~ what do I deserve?
Rick Dancer added these pithy words on Jun 07 09 at 8:23 amYeh, it is rather heady stuff. I don’t think I deserve to sit at the head table, I don’t think I deserve to have all these rights that our culture says I should have, I don’t think I deserve much really. This is just me and I’m not putting it on anyone else. I believe if we stopped thinking we deserve anything and simply enjoy what God gives us, we’d understand what it is to live at peace with Him.
