I think the problem is still here. I think we as a culture and as followers of Christ still get wrapped up in causes rather than Jesus.
I understand why those who don’t follow do this, but why do people involved with God?
It’s because relationship of any kind is much more difficult than relationship with a cause.
Causes become all about us.

Yes, change is coming. But the question remains, can we give up the traditions of man for the Kingdom of God? Are we willing to trade our club mentality, to realize that we will never fit in, not even to a church. We keep looking for something that may be impossible. Only through Christ and a relationship, can the body be fulfilled. As the line between the traditions of man and the Kingdom of God are drawn, will followers be willing to leave behind what they thought they knew, for Him?
That is the real question.

It sounds like you have read Frank Viola’s book “Reimaging the Church”. I’m reading it right now. The “One Anothers” gave you away. I understand what he’s saying and much of what I’m reading I’ve read before. It will be interesting to see how this all gets started. The home groups I’ve experienced are just replications of the institutional church only smaller.

I think Institutional Churches have and will do some good things, because after all it’s God not them that’s doing the doing. But the structure and way they are organized doesn’t work and we need to figure that out, listen to God, and change it.
